Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS)
Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) is a program of services for children with mental health conditions that impair and interfere with an their ability to function independently. The goal of CTSS is to 1) Restore a child or adolescent to an age-appropriate developmental trajectory that had been disrupted by a psychiatric illness; or 2) Enable the child to self-monitor, compensate for, cope with, counteract, or replace psychosocial skills, deficits or maladaptive skills acquired over the course of a psychiatric illness.
Aspire Counseling provides the following services to accomplish these goals:
psychotherapy
individual skills training
family skills training
group skills training
What’s included in skills training?
Skills training typically takes place in the client’s home or in the community. Specific training will be based on the client’s individual treatment plan and tailored to what they need to learn. Skills training may include basic life skills, social skills, coping skills, communication skills, and more.
How to get started
Clients can be referred by parents/guardians or by other service providers such as case managers, probation officers, therapists, doctors, teachers, etc. Referrals can be faxed to 320.587.6581 or you can call Aspire at 320-587-3331.
Once a referral is received, it will be reviewed and assigned to a provider. The client’s parent/guardian will be contacted to schedule intake paperwork and a Diagnostic Assessment (if needed). During this initial meeting, goals may be identified to develop the Individual Treatment Plan which will guide treatment. The Individual Treatment Plan will be reviewed and revised regularly to ensure it is meeting the client’s needs.
Individuals must meet diagnostic criteria and be enrolled in Medical Assistance (MA) or a Prepaid Medical Assistance Program (PMAP), such as PrimeWest, Blue Plus, UCare, etc. to be eligible for CTSS services.
